Date Of Death: September 9, 2008

Marvin Ray Mickley was born in Beech Grove to Bert and Bertha Mickley on July 16, 1939. He was a Master Carpenter who specialized in trim and other finishing work. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Karen Lile Mickley; His daughters and their husbands Trisha and Michael Price, Tracey and R.D. Stockinger. He is also survived by his four grandsons, Joshua, Benjamin, Nicholas, and Noah, 3 stepgrandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.Marvin loved many things in his life. He loved his wife and girls, pepsi’s, racing, Nascar, camping, fishing, and going to Michigan. The family made many trips to southern Indiana for camping and fishing trips. Marvin enjoyed getting together with his friends and family. Family was a big part of his life. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends for a meal, if a restaurant had good food, it was nothing for him to drive a couple of hours to eat there. Marvin was a good hearted man with a sometimes gruff exterior. No matter how he may have acted, you always knew that it was because of his love and worry for you. He will be missed very much by his family. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 2:00pm at Plainfield Apostolic Church in Plainfield, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
